Airplane Ride

I took Ben to the doctor yesterday for his 4 month well check. He is healthy as can be and developing just as he should be. He is still growing like crazy. He is way off the charts for his height (that average length of an 8 month old baby) and in the 90th percentile for his weight. At least we know he is healthy and strong. He has found his vocal chords and uses them all the time. He coos and ahhs and yells and screams (not sad screams - just noisy ones). He is quite the happy boy and giggles quite a bit. He has started to grab at things a lot more and gets really fascinated with things in front of him - the time for toys has begun. He basically loves any attention people will give him and seems to talk right back when someone is talking to him. I just tried baby cereal on him yesterday for the first time. he took it really well. I gave a little bit to him in the morning and then again at night. The doctor said that sometimes these big boys will sleep fine through the night, and then suddenly they will start to wake up early because they are getting hungry. If this is the case, it might be a good time to start on solids. I've noticed that he had been waking up a couple hours earlier in the morning and really going at his food when I feed him. After the cereal last night he was right back to his long night sleep. YAY! He is at a fun age, and I just love to play with him and get his little voice going. Caelan is always wanting to hold him and play with him too, which is fun to see. He took his first airplane ride about a week ago., We were in CA for Grandpa Sorensen's wedding the second week in August, and then we flew over to AZ to spend a few days with Grandpa and Grandma Dick (Dad had to fly to NC for two weeks for work, so we thought we would travel around while he was gone). Ben did really well. He had a couple screaming outbursts, but they were short lived, and mostly he was pretty content. He stayed awake the entire time - as did his sister, so I was pretty busy keeping them both content in their seats for the hour trip. We made it though.
