Reading Book of Mormon
When Grandpa gave the talk on the Holy Ghost at Ben's baptism he challenged Ben to read from the Book of Mormon every day - that it would help lead and guide him and that we could be closer to the Spirit as he studied the scriptures. He emphasized this challenge by saying that if Ben read every single day from that day (the day of his baptism) to the next time that Grandma would be at our house which would be for Ian's baby blessing at the beginning of July, then Grandpa would take him to Bricks and Minifigs (a great Lego store in town) and get him a little something there. Well, Ben did it. I think he may have missed one day (because he simply fell asleep), but he made up for it by reading extra the next day. He read the Book of Mormon faithfully for 3 full months. Grandpa took him to Bricks and Minifigs and Ben picked out a Lone Ranger set AND a Lord of the Rings set. Grandpa got the extra set partly for the other kids to enjoy. He was pretty excited. I told him that now that it is a habit he should just keep it up forever. I'm proud of him for doing it and finding his own testimony of the scriptures.
